Position Summary:

The Missouri Historical Society seeks a part-time Production Technician who can work in a fast-paced environment with high volume of work that requires high attention to details and strategic thinking. Production Technicians provide high quality staging and technical support at Missouri Historical Society properties.

Essential Functions: 

  • Maintain and safeguard the institution's production equipment
  • Deliver, set-up and breakdown equipment for presentations and events
  • Operate lighting boards, audio mixers, microphones and LIVE production switchers
  • Perform technical maintenance and troubleshooting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree
  • Audio production and theater studies are preferred
  • At least two years of experience in production
  • Knowledgeable of PC and MAC based applications and connectivity, LIVE audio and video production; audio and video editing software
  • Flexible availability: Must have availability at least three weekday [6am-4pm], three weekday evenings [4pm-11pm] and one weekend [9am-7pm] each week. Production Technicians are allowed to request off 1 weekend each month. On average, production technicians are scheduled 12-15 hours each week; schedules vary each week based on needs.
