HVAC Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

The Missouri Historical Society seeks HVAC Maintenance Technician to install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, cooling units, diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical and electrical components for the Missouri Historical Society locations.

Essential Functions:

• Travel to all Historical locations leased or owned and perform service calls and maintenance
• Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs at Missouri Historical Society locations
• Maintain good working order of company vehicle including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues
• Maintain and use proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment
• Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies
• Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services)
• Identify energy efficient equipment as well as equipment at end of life
• Performs preventative maintenance such as change air filters, lubricate pumps and motors, replace and adjust worn belts

Qualifications:

• (High School diploma or equivalent)
• EPA 608 Certification with universal
• Completion of HVAC trade school
• Minimum 5-7years field related work experience on commercial equipment in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting and correcting diverse HVAC service issues to include heat pumps, and steam generation equipment
• Valid drivers license

Skills:

• Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals
• Excellent customer service skills 
• Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time
• Detect potential damage to museum displays and artifacts
• High level of computer proficiency relating to building automation systems
• Ability to learn new systems in a timely manner
• Proficient in Word & excel to create charts and reports
